SDK is crashing, you start the service of the Data Access, trying to open the Operations Manager Console and you get this error message :

You check the service status again and.. well… is stopped again. if you will open your event viewer you’ll find the start event : 26361 (The System Center Operations Manager SDK service started), and the crash event which tell you the secret… event 26380 (The System Center Operations Manager SDK Service failed due to an unhandled exception).

If you will diagnose the exception in the event you’ll find the solution. most of cases, the service crash when it couldn’t connect AD domain for SPNs registering because of networking problems, mismatch secure channel between the OpsMgr and the DCs, etc.. if this case you’ll see exception such:

System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0x8007054B): The specified domain either does not exist or could not be contacted.
